Mariposa's 1st Holy Communion day was lovely!
Grandma flew in for the week, just for this special event. Grandma is Mariposa's godmother. (Grandpa had to work and couldn't make the trip, boo.)
The day was beautiful which was good news since we hosted an open house at our home. Mariposa celebrated her First Communion with her friend Eamon so we had the party to honor both of them. Lots of good friends and good food.
Mariposa was so excited to receive the Eucharist for the first time. Since that day, she's been treating Mass a little differently now…with good reason: she can now fully participate! I'm so proud of my little orange-haired girl and her faith journey!
