Even though we gave RoughStart (aka Lammykins) back to his owner a week ago, we still have great memories of taking care of the little guy. The kids learned about bottle-feeding and caring for a fragile little creature, learning to put his needs ahead of their own. They learned about livestock care beyond just their chickens and the ponies. We had to clean Lammykins' pen and take him for walks. Sure, I was a little relieved when our 2-week assignment was up...Lammykins was getting bigger and more demanding...but I was happy to have the experience. :o)
Just like having a baby....! I thought they already knew those lessons....hahaha
